CCS's next-generation network deployments feature in the new Playbook for Smart Cities just released by Telecom Infra Project.
The "City Success Cases" section highlights our Metnet 60GHz network rolled out by Ontix to deliver gigabit broadband service in London's Soho. The playbook also showcases MicroNät's deployment of our 60GHz self-organising network technology in Sweden, plus our 60GHz mmWave trial in the City of Bath, where we provided gigabit backhaul to support interactive 5G smart tourism applications, as part of for the UK government-backed 5G Smart Tourism project.
The new playbook has been developed from the Smart City Connectivity sub-group within the Telecom Infra Project (TIP) mmWave Networks Project Group, to provide guidance to key audiences to help streamline and accelerate network deployments. Topics covered include smart city service requirements, an overview of mmWave technology, mmWave spectrum and deployment regulation and best practices recommendations.
